JOB SUMMARY: CRC seeks qualified Farsi Linguists to support our Intelligence Community partners in Quantico, VA.

DESCRIPTION: As a skilled Farsi Linguist you will provide foreign language interpretation and translation support to several Intelligence Community member organizations, internal directorates, and divisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide written translations of collected material using syntax and expressions from Farsi to English
• Provide written translations of materials derived from the collection of foreign media sources
• Provide interpretation of collected foreign language materials
• Advise government lead on cultural, social, and ethnic significance of conversations, situations, documents, regions, and geographic areas

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• TS/SCI security clearance and ability to pass a Counterintelligence polygraph
• Experience with performing written Farsi-to-English translation
• Knowledge of Farsi culture, politics, military, economy, current events, and psychology
• Knowledge of standard Adobe and Microsoft Office products
• Ability to demonstrate professional-level proficiency in Farsi and English and perform at Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Level 3 or above in listening, reading, speaking, and writing in those languages
• Ability to produce client-ready, time sensitive products and reports per client requirements
• Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that may on occasion require working non-standard hours
• Deep regional expertise
• Moderate to advanced computer skills

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (PREFERRED):

• Experience with DoD CI and collection initiatives or programs
• Experience as a CI or HUMINT officer
• Experience with Cyber threat analysis or computer network operations
• Experience with US counter-threat operations and analysis
• Experience with social networking platforms, applications, and trends
• Experience with additional languages or specific regional expertise a plus
• BA or BS degree preferred
