JOB SUMMARY: CRC has a need for a Russian Linguist to serve our customer in Quantico, Virginia.
DESCRIPTION: Candidate provides foreign language interpretation and translation support to several intelligence Community member organizations, internal directorates, and divisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide written translations of collected material using syntax and expressions from Russian to English
- Provide written translations of materials derived from the collection of foreign media sources
- Provide interpretation of collected foreign language materials
- Advise government lead on cultural, social, and ethnic significance of conversations, situations, documents, regions, and geographic areas
- Ability to demonstrate professional-level proficiency in Russian and English and perform at Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Level 3 or above in listening, reading, speaking, and writing in those languages
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a security background investigation and polygraph
- An active and current Top Secret SCI - CI/Poly clearance is required to be considered for this work.
- Experience with performing written Russian-to-English translation
- Knowledge of Russian culture, politics, military, economy, current events, and psychology
- Knowledge of standard Adobe and Microsoft Office products
- Ability to produce client-ready, time sensitive products and reports per client requirements
- Deep regional expertise
- High School diploma and 2 years experience
- Moderate to advanced computer skills

- Very fast-paced, fluid environment
- Linguists regularly use Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat as well as a variety of customized tools and databases
