DESCRIPTION: The New Employee Orientation Support Specialist assists in creating and facilitating training as it pertains to NEO to include reviewing NEO execution processes, drafting/updating course content, and delivering NEO training.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and update content for the NEO course (and others, as required), to include lesson plans, slides, handbooks, handouts, and training-related materials
- Review, update, and advise the Government regarding NEO planning and execution processes
- Develop, update, review, and publish current NEO briefings
- Organize and facilitate the multicultural module for each NEO session, documenting results of the students’ presentations
- Schedule and facilitate all NEO sessions and NEO briefers
- Deliver/Facilitate NEO Training using synchronous (e.g. Platform) and asynchronous (e.g. web) methodologies
- Attend weekly indoctrination to introduce NEO attendance policies and procedures and create NEO session attendance rosters
- Compile and synthesize all NEO teams’ class factors and publish them in the final student email notifications
- Schedule primary and secondary classrooms a year in advance and ensure that the reservations are properly recorded in Resource Scheduler
- Alert and update the guest lecturers and briefers supporting each NEO session
- Document briefer no-shows and/or changes (U) Keep a current student phone number roster at all times
- Establish and update email alias distribution lists (U) Ensure action requirements and suspense dates are captured and communicated to required offices
- Provide support, as stated above, to Workforce Development Onboarding events and related projects, as required (i.e. Plus-1 events)
- Develop, create, and share files, ideas, and Onboarding projects effectively via Confluence (web sites/dashboard)
- Provide support to Workforce Development career development-related events (i.e. career fairs, brown bags, etc.)
- Provide basic equipment troubleshooting (i.e. VTC and lectern devices)
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a security background investigation and polygraph
- An active and current government clearance is required to be considered for this work.
- Associate's degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) year’s experience working in the Intelligence Community.
- Two (2) year’s experience developing training materials to include lesson plans, slides, handbooks, handouts.
- One (1) year experience instructing courses using synchronous and asynchronous methodologies
