JOB SUMMARY: CRC has a need for a Clinical Psychologist in Kunia, Hawaii to provide psychological evaluations and treatment of government civilians and military for the purpose of providing Psychological Treatment and Consultation.
DESCRIPTION:
Candidate will assist employees, military assignees, and their spouses with psychological and relationship problems utilizing best practice individual and group therapy. The employee assistance services also consults with supervisors about best practices in the support of employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Obtain and analyze pertinent information
- Conduct clinical interviews and assessments
- Document clinical assessments
- Determine diagnosis based on the criteria outlined in the latest version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM)
- Develop a treatment plan
- Document all case contacts in SOAP format within five (5) working days
- Provide brief therapy and/or referral to appropriate community resource including:
- Short term therapeutic interventions
- When indicated, referral to outside mental health providers, support groups, and social services agencies
- Follow guidelines for child/vulnerable adult abuse reporting
- Follow up with client and referral sources to ensure that needs are met
- Ensure documentation of therapy and/or referral services and case closing
- Conduct time-limited group therapy to address issues such as depression, anxiety, and interpersonal relationships
- Take attendance at clinical case review meetings
- Deliver additional services including workshops on mental health topics for staff and/or Agency employees
- Collaborate with other agencies to offer prevention programs and organizational consultations.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a security background investigation and polygraph
- Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an institution accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA)
- Completion of an APA accredited internship
- A current, unrestricted license to practice Psychology from any US jurisdiction with no pending adverse actions (e.g suspensions, letters of counseling, restrictions to practice only with supervision, revocations) before any licensing board or hospital credentials committee
- Minimum five (5) years post-Doctoral experience in clinical assessment
- Minimum three (3) years' experience in the following tasks:
- Providing consultation on psychological related matters
- Conducting clinical interviews/assessments
- Determining diagnosis based on criteria outlined in latest version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM)
- Developing treatment plans
- Conducting therapeutic interventions
