JOB SUMMARY: CRC has a need for a Senior Political/Military (POLMIL) Intelligence Analyst to serve our SOUTHCOM customer in Miami, Florida

DESCRIPTION: Candidate serves as a senior analyst for the Crisis Response and Defense Institution Building missions within the J2. Writes complex studies with analytical assessments related to external state actors, regional terrorist threat networks and Colombia/Venezuela political and military regional assessments for the USSOUTHCOM area of responsibility. Apply a wide range of intelligence analytic skills to monitor, assess, and report on indications and warnings. Utilizing both English and Spanish sources, perform all-source analysis at strategic, operational and tactical levels to provide risk assessments for external state actors, regional terrorist organizations, and regional political/military threats, to include those organizations’ internal security, organizational construct, personalities, tactics/techniques/procedures, military capabilities, and socio-cultural dynamics. Develop and recommend complex analytical approaches to problems and situations. Provide daily updates to senior SOUTHCOM officials on regional security threats in order to aid in production planning. Prepare presentations on regional security threats and briefs findings to senior government officials.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Writes complex studies with analytical assessments related to Colombia/Venezuela political and military regional developments in direct support to USSOUTHCOM’s mission requirements.
  • Applies a wide range of intelligence analytic skills to monitor, assess, and report on indications and warnings.
  • Utilizing both English and Spanish sources, performs all-source analysis at strategic, operational and tactical levels to provide risk assessments on regional issues, and regional political/military threats, to include those organizations’ internal security, organizational construct, personalities, tactics/techniques/procedures, military capabilities, and socio-cultural dynamics.
  • Supports national-level and combatant command planning and operational missions of U.S. and partner nation customers.
  • Develops and recommends complex analytical approaches to problems and situations.
  • Prepares presentations on regional security threats and briefs findings to senior government officials
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • TS/SCI security clearance and ability to pass a Counterintelligence polygraph 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields of study: Business Management, National Security, Homeland Security, or a National Defense related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting military intelligence missions ï‚· At least 3 years’ of focused analytical studies on Latin American religion, politics, culture and history
  • At least 2 years of experience directly supporting USSOUTHCOM intelligence missions focused on external state actors or regional terrorist organizations
  • At least 5 years of experience collaborating with and providing intelligence support to Combatant commanders, national level policy makers, Director of National Intelligence or other high-level government officials
  • At least 2 years of experience collaborating and sharing information with Partner Nations in the USSOUTHCOM area of responsibility in line with DoD authorities
  • Experience in providing intelligence support to Joint/Combatant Command planners in support of ongoing and planned military operations
  • Demonstrated ability to apply Intelligence Community Directive 203 Analytic Tradecraft standards to all finished products
  • Experience with Analyst Notebook and other network analysis tools
  • Fluent in Spanish
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ph.D. in any of the following fields of study: Latin American Studies, National Security, Homeland Security, or a National Defense related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience supporting military intelligence missions
  • At least 10 years’ of focused analytical studies on Latin American religion, politics, culture and history
  • At least 5 years of experience directly supporting USSOUTHCOM intelligence missions focused on external state actors; POLMIL or regional terrorist organizations
  • At least 5 years of experience collaborating with and providing intelligence support to Combatant commanders, national level policy makers, Director of National Intelligence or other high-level government officials
  • At least 5 years of experience collaborating and sharing information with Partner Nations in the USSOUTHCOM area of responsibility in line with DoD authorities
  • Experience in providing intelligence support to Joint/Combatant Command planners in support of ongoing and planned military operations
